小英教育基金會董事長、民進黨前主席蔡英文，8日在宜蘭縣長林聰賢等人的陪同下遊訪童玩節園區。她參觀了「轉動童玩館」、「童玩工坊」、「水域遊戲區」，並與小朋友體驗遊戲活動，大人小孩打成一片，臉上掛滿笑容。

主辦單位指出，宜蘭國際童玩藝術節自來2010年復辦以來，蔡英文每年都會在百忙之中抽空遊童玩，今年仍然不缺席，可以說是童玩節的大粉絲。

蔡英文等人一進入冬山河親水公園，就前往「水域遊戲區」，親切地與遊客打招呼、合影留念。對古早味童玩懷念不已的她，指定要參觀「轉動童玩館」。她看到了陀螺、彈珠檯等童玩，彷彿回到童年時光。

「童玩工坊」是許多大小朋友都很喜歡的童玩DIY區，有多位藝師在此傳授手作童玩的技巧。蔡英文也向木工藝師姜治榮學做木頭小車子，將自己親手製作的童玩帶回家做紀念。

蔡英文表示，很開心能和小朋友一起玩，童玩館的遊戲非常有趣，包括光碟陀螺、千手運球等，將主題「轉」融入在遊戲中，尤其看到宜蘭的小朋友都曬得黑黑亮亮的，還有親子同樂的畫面，讓她很感動，希望所有的孩子都能在快樂的環境中成長，而大人的責任，就是要為下一代建構好的環境，相信童玩節絕對是歷久不衰、最優質、最適合親子共遊的國際型藝術節活動。
