【綜合報導】孕婦懷孕時總會愛吃些巧克力或辛辣食物，但英國女子皮爾斯(Kelly-Marie Pearce)在懷孕期間卻愛上怪異食物：泥巴和海綿。皮爾斯已經是4歲大兒子盧西恩和7個月大女兒洛拉的媽媽，她表示自己在懷盧西恩時，胃口不只好，而且還非常怪異，有一天看見鸚鵡籠裏的沙，忽然垂涎欲滴，覺得泥沙是「美食」。當她洗澡時，擦澡海綿就變成點心，她更喜歡把泥巴放在海綿上，特製「海綿泥巴三明治」，她曾一天消耗掉一整包海綿。

她年前再度懷孕，又開始愛吃海綿和泥巴，兩次懷孕她一共吞下幾百份「海綿泥巴三明治」，幸好產下的一對子女都健康正常。醫生確診她患上了異食癖，分娩後就會回復正常。
