颱風來襲 彭淮南坐鎮央行

（中央社記者高照芬台北21日電）潭美颱風來襲，部份地區銀行暫停營業，但國際金融市場持續交易，央行總裁彭淮南依照往例上班，除關注國際金融動態，也指示緊急提供外幣資金，維持銀行外幣資金的正常運作。

央行今天發布新聞稿指出，潭美颱風襲台，台灣部份地區銀行暫停營業，但國際金融市場持續營業，央行主管及交易員也照常上班。

央行主管及交易員一方面從事國際金融交易，一方面也主動與銀行聯繫，緊急提供外幣資金，維持各銀行外幣資金的正常運作。

中央銀行今天對11家外匯指定銀行及7家本國銀行海外分行共提供外幣資金達12.61億美元及2.4億日圓。1020821
