參觀克國古堡 總統心繫台灣

馬英九總統18日抵達友邦聖克里斯多福及尼維斯，他下午並造訪列為聯合國世界文化遺產的「布里斯東古堡」。布里斯東古堡及周邊地區被克國劃定為國家公園，主要城堡以7 英尺厚的黑色火山岩築成，位居海平面800英呎高處，防禦功能奇佳，有西印度群島「直布羅陀」美名，古堡曾被英法輪流佔據，前後設置49座砲台，景色相當壯麗。

不過或許是心繫台灣，媒體詢問馬總統堡壘有沒有很壯觀？他說「還好」，媒體再追問是否覺得景觀很棒？總統則說「不錯」，接著不忘為澎湖西台嶼古堡打廣告。他說，澎湖古堡雖沒有這個大，「但砲比較大」。
