大陸官網22日發布87歲的大陸前領導人江澤民及夫人7月3日在上海西郊賓館會見並宴請了美國前國務卿季辛吉及家人。報導除兩人話家常、談往事外。最值得注意的是，江談到了習近平。

江說，「不久前我與習近平主席通電話」，「習近平是一位非常能幹、有智慧的國家領導人。」江透露：最近，中國新疆發生了暴力恐怖襲擊事件，習近平果斷決策迅速控制了局勢。
