中山大學採到甲烷氣　開啟能源大希望

【綜合報導】中山大學海下科技所團隊本月初在墾丁西南方外海的深海床下，首度採得可直接點燃的高濃度甲烷，研究團隊表示：「小小一把火，開啟大大希望！」除代表國內海底能源探測技術又邁進一步，也證實海床下有可供開採使用的甲烷氣，但商業開採則有待評估。

國家實驗研究院台灣海洋科技研究中心副主任洪慶章說，以往水下探採研究受洋流影響，定位困難，「像在一○一大樓頂看到地面上有仟元大鈔，看得到卻拿不到」，這次透過國人自製深海攝影機，搭配精準定位系統，才成功採集含甲烷氣岩心，證實國內科學與工程領域專家整合，可執行海域精準定位採樣，值得研究團隊及政府資源投入，探勘海域可用資源。
