一百零二年師鐸獎、教育奉獻獎及資深優良教師表揚大會二十七號上午在陽明山中山樓舉行，總統馬英九在致詞時宣布明年將編列兩千四百億元的教育經費，展現政府對教育的重視。(陳葦庭報導)

總統馬英九今天出席師鐸獎頒獎典禮時表示，目前國內正在推行十二年國教的教育改革工程，更需要第一線的教師大力幫助，讓每一位國民得到合理的教育機會，希望透過表揚這些優秀老師，影響教育界，鼓勵更多老師發揮有教無類的精神，輔導每一位學生，讓他們找到屬於自己的路。

他也宣布，明年將投入兩千四百億元的教育經費，希望提升學生的競爭力，但也說學生的素質還有再提升的空間：「不能告訴我大學畢業了二十六個英文字母還拚不出來，或是連簡單的事情都做不到，我們應該深思，我們的教育除了SCI之外，還有其他應該追求的東西。」

教育部蔣偉寧也強調，提升競爭力首要就是提升多元軟實力，包括溝通能力、團隊合作能力、創意和思辨能力。因此希望透過更多優秀老師的幫助，培養出更多具有多元軟實力的人才。
